Scalloped Crocheted Bunting
I love to use delicate buntings around my front door. Previously, I’ve made them mostly out of fabric and cotton twill tape. But with the Porch Goose Projects, I’ve been experimenting more with these silly little buntings. This crocheted bunting is so sweet and I love the way it moves gently in the breeze. If you’d like to make this Scalloped Crocheted Bunting, follow along with the free tutorial below!
What you need: A light weight or number three yarn, and a corresponding crochet hook. I used a US size H or 4.0mm hook and some Knit and Crochet yarn that has been languishing in my stash for an embarrassing amount of time.

Crochet a chain as long as you need it. I definitely made this first one way too long but now I can use it in other places as well. Nora’s eyeing it up for her birthday as we speak.
Skip one stitch. and turn your work to crochet back along the chain.
Work a half double crochet into the next stitch, followed by two double crochets.
Into the next stitch, work three triple crochets.
Moving to the next stitch, work two double crochets, and one half double crochet.
Skip one stitch.
Slip stitch into the next.
Repeat these steps until you reach the end of the chain. You could chose to end your project here. I kept going though. On the other side of that foundational crochet chain, work one double crochet into each of the stitches.
Once you are finished working back across the chain with the double crochets, turn the work again, and repeat the steps to create scallop or picot stitches along the other side.
Break your yarn and weave in your ends and you’ve made a whimsical little detail for your home. Hang these adorable buntings rom your curtain rods, from railings or mantles, anywhere you need a touch of whimsy.

I made this to match my first goose collars. You can find the pattern for these here. And I made Mabel a sweet little version and she loves it!!!
