Crochet Porch Goose Collar

A Free Pattern to Add Some Flair to our Feathered Friends

For Easter, the Bunny brought me some new friends! He brought a full size and miniature feathered friend to grace our porch. Immediately I began looking up sewing tutorials for dresses. I made them bows based on my previous projects. It wouldn’t be long until I figured out how to knit or crochet them something special. In this blog post I will share with you a free pattern for a Crochet Porch Goose Collar. This collar is pretty basic, so there is a ton of room for customization!

First, you’ll need the basics: Yarn and a Honk, I mean Hook! I used a worsted weight yarn. This one is a number three yarn from Knit and Chat. It was on clearance before Joann’s bit the dust and I’ve been waiting for something to make out of it. This acrylic yarn is perfect for gracing a silly goose on the front porch. I used a G or 4.0mm hook to make this crochet collar.

DC stands for Double Crochet
HDC stands for Half Double Crochet
TC stands for Triple Crochet
SS stand for Slip Stitch

I also made a matching crochet bunting for this pink collar but I have yet to hang it yet with the cold and rainy weather. I hope to update this soon with a link to the pattern and more photos! Stay tuned.
