Knitting in the Park

Knitting patterns, Homemaking projects, and More

Welcome to Knitting in the park! If you’re looking for fun knitting patterns that are easy to follow, you’ve found the right blog!

My name is Maggie Schott. I’m a new mom, a small business owner, new mom, and first time homeowner. I’ve been knitting for just about 10 years now. About three years ago, I started writing my own patterns and sharing them with knitters like you.

Shawls are really fun to knit. They’re functional. And they make great gifts that your friends and family will love. All you need is a couple of skeins of yarn and some solid knitting time for these easy to follow patterns. Click the image or this link to browse my shawl patterns.

Sweaters are my go to when I want to mix it up and knit something different. I knit just a few each year which makes them special, and very rewarding. If the thought of knitting a sweater is daunting to you, rest assured that these patterns are designed to be simple and easy to follow.

Quick projects full of great details, hats are one of my favorite things to knit. These hat patterns are written out with easy to follow abbreviations and instructions so that you can whip up a hat in just a day or two. Some of these hats are available for free and others a $2 pattern download fee.
