Knit Along – Fall Vines Cowl

Knit with Me for Free

Ever wondered what has been on my needles in between posts?  Now you can not only know what’s on my needles but, knit a long with me.  I’m offering a group of knitters a chance to get their hands on a free pattern and a chance to knit together as this shawl develops.

Do you have a bit of lace weight yarn that you’ve been saving up? Well this one might be just the stash buster pattern for which you have been searching.  The Fall Vines shawl is a light and airy cowl that will be lovely compliment to almost any fall outfit.  This shawl is knit back and forth rather than in the round, affording you the option to keep it as a shawl or turn it into a cowl or infinity scarf.  This one is a bit of a choose your own adventure pattern.

At the end of the knit along, any photos you submit, will be added to the pattern listings, making your work featured!

So what is the Fall Vines Cowl?

This pattern features stockinette border, using slipped stitches to combat the curl, followed by a braided cable and some lovely eyelets spanning the middle to give texture.  It’s a simple pattern to work the works up to a beautiful result.  Both the cables and the eyelets are worked over the same number of rows, and the pattern is written out, so you do not need to have mastered charts for to join us on this knit along.

Knit alongs are the perfect way to learn new skills, get free patterns, and meet other knitters.  Simply contact me and let me know that you’d like to join the knit along for the Fall Vines Cowl.  I’ll be sending the pattern out at the end of the week, once we’ve gotten all of the participants added and squared away.

I’m really looking forward to this project and to meeting you!
