The Ferryman ReRelease
Knitting

The Ferryman Republished in All Sizes

Gift the Ferryman to Everyone in Your Family this Christmas

This hat was a big hit when it was originally launched in adult sizing. I originally knitted the hat for my husband before we had our son. Since then I’ve knitted it for both of them to match. Now you can get the hat in all sizes from newborn through adult sizing.

Christmas might be around the corner, but this pattern knits up quickly. There is still time to knit this up for Christmas. Hats make great stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, and more!

The Ferryman Hat Knitting Pattern

What Makes the Ferryman so Great?

The hat is unique. It features a few different knitting techniques that combine for a visually stunning hat that fits everyone. Using a simple cable technique and wrapping yarn you can knit a hat that looks complex and professional.

The pattern is unique in that it is fully written out. You don’t need to be able to read charts or deal with complex abbreviations to knit this hat. Intermediate level knitters are able to knit this hat pattern.

It uses worsted weight yarn making it warm but also easy to work with. The pattern offers a few different options for the brim of the hat. And it now includes sizes from newborns up to adult sizes. Here’s a link to the blog originally announcing the launch of the Ferryman!

Recommended Yarns:

I personally love Caron Simply Soft. It’s super soft which makes it very easy to wear. You can wash and dry the hat on gentle settings with this yarn. Simply remove any pompoms or tassels you might add.

If you’d like something a little bit more lux, Twill is a great option. You can grab it from KnitPicks here. It’s 100% merino wool and offered in beautiful rich colors.

Another great option is Wool of the Andes. The color options here are epic. You have so much to chose from that you’ll definitely find the right option for everyone you’re knitting for. I love buying from KnitPicks because they have great customer service and often offer value packs to save you money,
