A Cute Bunny Cabled Hat
This hat is so much fun to knit. I’ve knit it a few times to test the pattern sizing and every time its such a joy. The bunnies get more exciting as they develop, and the hat just takes on it’s own vibe. My daughter cannot wait until the weather drops to be able to wear this hat. Nora’s hat is a great option for just about anyone! Littles love the cute bunnies, and that it’s comfortable to wear.
What’s special aside from the bunnies?
Great question! Nora’s hat is very different from most other patterns you’ll find. One because of the shape of the cables. The other is the purl base for the cable. I really wanted the bunnies to stand out and that meant breaking up the stitch pattern and giving them a textured background.
This pattern, like most of my hats, features a set up row where you knit a series of increases. This keeps the fit of the hat from being too tight. If a hat isn’t super comfortable people won’t wear it.
Another feature in my patterns, the lack of charts or overcomplicated abbreviations and symbols. I try to write everything so that it’s as easy to read as possible. This means that simple instructions are abbreviated where they can be, and more complicated instructions are written out.
